NiuPay graphic: An intelligence layer, AI Summit 2026

Business leaders in Port Moresby heard from our Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder, Jason Kurdzinski, at AI Summit 2026, organised by the International Training Institute at The Stanley Hotel and Suites on 6 March.

His theme was where AI goes next. AI, he said, will converge with the other technologies businesses already depend on, from connected devices and sensors to distributed ledgers and, in time, quantum computing. “AI will become an intelligence layer on top of all of these other systems,” he said.

The same technology is available to attackers, and Jason warned that AI-driven cyber attacks are getting faster. His advice was for security to keep pace: strong identity and access controls, encryption, logging, and the ability to detect and respond within minutes.

That’s everyday work for us. We’ve run generative AI in government production since early 2025, in the MyICSA Analysis Engine, and we design security and reliability in from the start.

The National covered the summit: Business leaders told of risks and rewards of AI. Thank you to the International Training Institute for the invitation.
