Growing our team in Fiji
Government agencies and businesses in Fiji now have a NiuPay team close by. Over the past four months, our work in Fiji has taken shape: a Country Manager in Suva, long-term plans for the country, and the first engineers of a Fiji-based team.
Leadership on the ground
In June, Seta Daulako joined us as Country Manager for Fiji. Seta brings more than 20 years in telecommunications, IT and government account management, most of it at Telecom Fiji, where he rose to National Manager for Government. He leads our work with government and enterprise across the country.
Here for the long term
Speaking to the Fiji Sun during the Pacific Fiber Conference, our Chief Operating Officer, Trevor Manokore, set out our plans for a sustained, multi-year investment in Fiji: a presence in Suva and Nadi, local skills, a contribution to the country’s economic growth, and digital platforms designed around the way Pacific governments work. We believe the Pacific Islands deserve homegrown technology, and in Fiji that starts with Fijian engineers.
Engineering in Fiji
Mohammed Ali, our first engineer in Fiji, works on AI systems, and Saurab Nand has joined as Senior DevOps Engineer. They’re the start of a Fiji team that will build technology solutions for clients in Fiji, Papua New Guinea and across the wider Pacific, and we’re looking forward to growing it.
Meeting the Deputy Prime Minister
In September, Seta and Trevor met Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Industries, Commerce and Business Development, Hon. Manoa Kamikamica. He spoke about government services that are faster, simpler and within everyone’s reach, and about the pace Fiji will need if its National Digital Strategy is to digitalise 80 per cent of key government services by 2030. The conversation ranged from the National ID initiative to the responsible use of AI. Thank you, Deputy Prime Minister, for your time.
We’ve also loved being part of Fiji’s technology community this year, as Platinum sponsor of the Pacific Fiber Conference 2026 in Nadi and as a sponsor of Fiji National University’s 7th National Conference on Information Technology.
PNG Business News covered the expansion in October: NiuPay’s proven digital platforms underpin expansion across the Pacific.
If you’d like to talk about modernising a service in Fiji, in government or business, Seta would love to hear from you through our contact page.
