Growing our Port Moresby headquarters
We’re making room for a lot more people in Port Moresby. NiuPay began here in 2018 with a small team and a few problems worth solving. Eight years on, we’re more than fifty people, with new teams in Lae and Fiji, and we’re significantly expanding our headquarters so the Port Moresby team can keep growing.
The growth comes from the work. This year, Papua New Guinea’s first digital strata title was issued on the platform we built with the Department of Lands and Physical Planning, Lae moved Land Tax online, and the Office of Workers’ Compensation chose us to build its digital front desk. Each of those projects needs people to design and build it, and then to look after it for years to come.
Who we’re looking for
Recent roles have ranged from senior project managers and solutions architects to customer service, performance marketing and enterprise business development. We’re also building language datasets in Tok Pisin, English and other PNG languages, work that’s open to anyone with an excellent command of those languages and a sharp eye for detail, with or without a degree. We provide full training.
Growing our own
Steven Kaupa and Julian Togel joined us as Solutions Architect Interns in April, fresh from the University of Papua New Guinea and Southern Cross University. Three months later they were competing in the national finals of the PNG Hackathon 2026, and we were very proud of them. In Lae, our new team will be hired locally, starting with graduates from the PNG University of Technology.
Port Moresby will always be home. You can read about our new team in Lae and our growing team in Fiji.
